2021 EDUCATION

New Member Requirements

The Department of Commerce (DOC) requires newly licensed agents to complete 30 credits of continuing education by the second June 30 after receiving their license for their first renewal. Check your CE transcripts for CE requirements and due dates.

Existing Member Requirements
Agents are required to complete 30 real estate continuing education credits (CE) in their two year cycle, with a minimum of 15 CE credits in the first year of the cycle.   

                                                            Every year:               (July 1 – June 30):      Salesperson and Broker Required Module (3.75 hours)

                                                          Every two years:     Agency Law (1 hour) and   Fair Housing (1 hour)

Association Requirement:

>     The Code of Ethics Requirement (min. 2.5 hours) – Deadline of December 31, 2021.  

>     New Member Orientation – to be completed within the first 90 days of membership approval.  Code of Ethics course to follow immediately after.

As a REALTOR®, it’s your job to protect and promote America’s oldest core value: home ownership. And with that job, comes a duty to act with integrity and encourage excellence.

REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training every three years

Between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2021 every REALTOR® is required to complete 2.5 CE hours of Code of Ethics (COE) training in order to continue their membership with the association. A $100 reactivation fee will be applied to lapsed memberships.
